Molex technical paper outlines critical role of connectors in solid state storage

LISLE, Ill. -- Molex announced that Molex Global Product Manager Wai Kiong Poon will present a technical paper at the 5th annual Flash Memory Summit, being held August 17-19 at the Santa Clara Convention Center in Santa Clara, CA. The presentation is part of the Flash Technology Session 104, scheduled for Wednesday, August 18 from 3:10 to 4:15 p.m.

Wai Kiong’s paper, entitled “Solid State Storage: A Connector Perspective,” will focus on the critical role played by connectors in the development of solid state storage devices and systems. Connectors are used to bridge the gap in circuit design, allowing the current to flow seamlessly through the circuit to perform its intended function.

Wai Kiong will discuss the conceptualization and design of a dual stack right angle Micro SAS connector for small form factor 1.8” Drives, as well as its mechanical and electrical performance in satisfying the stringent demands of solid state storage development.
