The XCede Backplane Link Evaluation Kit is available in three board materials (Isola FR406, Nelco 4000-13 or Nelco 4000-13SI), with 2 to 30-inch trace lengths. This kit helps manufacturers assess link performance against proprietary and industry standard protocols, and supports system implementation with analyses for optimal routing strategies and connector configurations resulting in reduced layer count and improved signal integrity. The kit also enables evaluation of links designed to support speeds of up to 20 Gbits/sec. According to the company, insertion-to-crosstalk ratio measurements of the XCede connector against the latest IEEE 802.3ap v3.2 standard demonstrated its ability to meet the specification for 10-Gbits/sec serial data rates, with ample margin for higher speeds once silicon becomes available.

The THERMOMARK W1 thermal transfer printer is designed to print on continuous reels of heat-shrink wire markers, letting you reduce waste and lower material costs by as much as 20% by determining the overall length of the marking sleeve. The 300-dpi print head provides high-quality printing at up to two inches per second, while a specially engineered cutter performs a fine perforation at the end of each marker. Continuous rolls of heat-shrink wire-marking sleeves are available in three different sizes, covering wires between 1 and 18 mm in diameter. A 3:1 shrink ratio ensures they will fit most applications.
