The Eraser Company’s DV1 twin-wheel wire stripper with integral dust collector (below) is designed to strip magnet, enamel, and film-insulated wires from round, rectangular and square section wires. The tool can strip insulations such as Formvar, ML, Dayglass, Isonel, and Polythermaleze, and the dust collection system traps insulation residue as it is removed. The company’s Fybrglass wheels rotate at high speed to generate frictional heat that softens the wire insulation. The “nap” of the wheel wipes it away, resulting in a polished surface having no risk of nicking.

In addition, Eraser’s K8A rotary blade wire stripper (below) is designed for round, extruded, built up (solid and stranded), magnet, enamel, film-insulated wires, as well as coaxial cables. Built to remove insulations such as Kapton, silicon rubber, and armored polythermaleze, the K8A features adjustable blade depth, pressure and strip length. Blade tips are located behind a see-through guard, permitting close-up stripping for work pieces, coil bodies, and bobbins.
