Steven Nemitz has been appointed vice president/controller at connectivity solutions developer ADC (www.adc.com), following the recent promotion of former controller James Mathews to chief financial officer. Nemitz, who joined ADC in January 2000 and was most recently assistant corporate controller, will serve as the company’s principal accounting officer. Previously, he served as senior auditor at Arthur Anderson.

Mike Frigo has been appointed president of Copperfield and will be senior vice president of Coleman Cable. With more than 22 years experience in the wire and cable industry, Frigo most recently served as chief operations officer at Copperfield.

Reporting to Frigo will be Gene Stang, who has been promoted to vice president of sales and marketing for the Copperfield division. He will also retain responsibility for Coleman’s wire and cable business unit. Stang has held numerous roles in manufacturing, distribution, sales, and marketing during his more than 20 years of service with Coleman.

Ramos has nearly 30 years of financial assignments at several industry-leading companies. When first signed in 1982, it was the largest distribution agreement of its kind. Today, both companies serve customers in more than 60 countries. The two companies recently celebrated at a gathering at Molex’s headquarters in Lisle, IL, where Al Maag, Avnet’s chief communications officer, presented Molex CEO Martin Slark with a pair of silver running shoes to commemorate “the companies’ great run together” over the past 25 years.
