Steven Nemitz

Steven Nemitz has been appointed vice president/controller at connectivity solutions developer ADC (www.adc.com), following the recent promotion of former controller James Mathews to chief financial officer. Nemitz, who joined ADC in January 2000 and was most recently assistant corporate controller, will serve as the company’s principal accounting officer. Previously, he served as senior auditor at Arthur Anderson.


Kimberly Hartwell

Also at ADC, Kimberly Hartwell has been appointed vice president/Americas sales, marketing, and customer service. She joined the company in 2004, and previously served in leadership roles with Emerson Electric and Marconi.

Coleman Cable (www.colemancable.com) recently announced a number of organizational changes that coincide with the April acquisition of wire and cable insulator Copperfield LLC:


Mike Frigo

Mike Frigo has been appointed president of Copperfield and will be senior vice president of Coleman Cable. With more than 22 years experience in the wire and cable industry, Frigo most recently served as chief operations officer at Copperfield.


Gene Stang

Reporting to Frigo will be Gene Stang, who has been promoted to vice president of sales and marketing for the Copperfield division. He will also retain responsibility for Coleman’s wire and cable business unit. Stang has held numerous roles in manufacturing, distribution, sales, and marketing during his more than 20 years of service with Coleman.

Appointed executive vice president of operations at Coleman is Jeff Johnston, who has been with the company for 12 years.


Ken McAllister

Ken McAllister has been appointed senior vice president of Coleman. In addition to his responsibilities for the company’s Specialty and Consumer groups, McAllister assumes responsibility for the Electrical Distribution business unit. He joined Coleman in 2002 as vice president of wire and cable.


Kurt Hennelly

Having served Coleman in a variety of roles for the past 20 years, most recently as group vice president/consumer group and global sourcing, Kurt Hennelly has been appointed senior vice president of supply chain.


Kathy Jo Van

Kathy Jo Van has been named senior vice president of corporate marketing and business development. With 20 years in the electrical industry, Van most recently served as group vice president/electrical group.

Interconnect technology, design, and manufacturing provider Connectors Unlimited (www.connectorsunlimited.com) is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year. The Painesville, OH company specializes in in-house design services that include conceptual solid computer modeling, as well as production capabilities for tooling, stamping, injection molding, and assembly. “This milestone is significant for us because we’ve been able to not only survive but thrive in a global manufacturing environment that is growing increasingly competitive,” says company president Marty Ignasiak.


Todd Harrington

Custom cable assemblies manufacturer Gepco International (www.gepco.com) has named Todd Harrington as midwest regional manager. He most recently served as the company’s central states manager, and joined Gepco in 1991 to manage the eastern sales region. Harrington will be conducting business from Denver, CO, and will also be serving sales needs of the Rocky Mountain region.


Patrick Trippel

Henkel Corp. (www.henkel.com/electronics), which supplies adhesives and resins for critical assembly needs, has appointed Patrick Trippel to president of the company’s aerospace group. Trippel, who currently serves as president of the electronics group, will maintain those duties while expanding his role at Henkel. Since joining the company in 2002, Trippel has helped streamline the electronics group’s manufacturing and R&D operations, and has modernized the materials business with development of guaranteed compatible materials for the semiconductor and PCB assembly value chains.


Denise Ramos

Denise Ramos, most recently chief financial officer of Furniture Brands International, has succeeded retiring George Minnich as chief financial officer of ITT Corp. (www.itt.com). Ramos has nearly 30 years of financial assignments at several industry-leading companies. In her most recent role, she was instrumental in designing corporate strategy and enhancing the planning process for the $2.4 billion manufacturer, marketer, and retailer of residential furniture.


Tim MacAlpine

Director of sales Tim MacAlpine has succeeded Jim Sopp as president of wire processing manufacturer Komax USA (www.komaxgroup.com). He began his association with Komax in 1986 as a manufacturer representative/field service technician. In 1992, MacAlpine become a regional sales manager, and in 2000 became director of sales in which he has gained knowledge of the wire processing marketplace and customer applications ranging from automotive to electronics.

Liberty Wire & Cable (www.libertycable.com), supplier of wire and cable products for the audio/video industry, has increased its OEM sales force, which has seen 40% growth over the past two years. Led by OEM sales manager Matt Earl, Liberty’s specialized OEM services include bulk and custom cable, custom cable assemblies, milled plates and panels, and specialty printing.

Electronic component distributor Avnet Electronics Marketing (www.em.avnet.com) and electronic connector manufacturer Molex (www.molex.com) are celebrating the 25th year of a distribution agreement. When first signed in 1982, it was the largest distribution agreement of its kind. Today, both companies serve customers in more than 60 countries. The two companies recently celebrated at a gathering at Molex’s headquarters in Lisle, IL, where Al Maag, Avnet’s chief communications officer, presented Molex CEO Martin Slark with a pair of silver running shoes to commemorate “the companies’ great run together” over the past 25 years.

Training Service & Repair (TSR; www. tsr-mi.com) is celebrating its 10th anniversary as a single-source wire harness equipment distributor. The company, led by president Tim Paczesny, began in a small rented garage in Central Lake, MI and is now in a state-of-the-art service/office facility in Eastport, MI. TSR also has offices in southern California and Mexico, and has a network of sales reps in North and Central America as well as Mexico. Its line of wire harness products include: benchtop wire stripping machines, crimp force monitors, wire cut and strip machines, terminal presses and applicators, wire pull test machines, wire processing machine replacement blades, braiding equipment, and a variety of hand tools.
