Offering varying heights for high-speed data transfer connectivity, the 1-mm modular shielded MicroSpeed SMT connector system consists of two contact rows and two outwardly arranged shield plates. Designed for space-saving board-to-board connections, and suitable for differential and single-ended signals, MicroSpeed male connectors are available in 1-, 2-, 9- and 10-mm heights, while female connectors are available in 4-, 6-, 8- and 10-mm heights. According to the company, you can create 16 different stacking heights, from 5 mm to 20 mm. A high mating tolerance allows for simultaneous mating of more than one connector pair. The connectors are supplied in tape-on-reel packaging, and feature black insulating bodies made of LCP (liquid crystal polymer), as well as a pre-mounted placement aid for easy gripping.

These vertical D-Sub connectors are equipped with THR (thru-hole reflow) termination, which the company says can be processed economically within the SMT manufacturing line, eliminating such steps as wave soldering, selective soldering, or press-fit. Male and female connectors are available in module heights of 6, 6.3, and 9 mm, and are offered with 9, 15, 25, or 37 pins. Contacts are gold-plated in the mating area, and tin-plated in the termination area. Creepage distance and clearance is specified at 1.2 mm. Designed for fully automatic placement, the D-Sub connectors are supplied on SMT-compatible trays or in tape-and-reel packaging.

Duplex-plated Bergstrip continuously molded vertical headers consist of 0.025-inch square pins installed on 0.100-inch pitch in a continuous header body. The strip can be cut to length as needed, reducing inventory levels for individual part numbers, improving capability for rapid response to product mix of demand changes, and resulting in fewer remnants than when cutting or breaking stick headers to size. The Bergstrip range includes single-row and double-row headers with options for either 30- or 15-micro-inch gold finish in the contact areas.

The APEX 2.8-mm line of heavy duty, in-line electrical connectors is designed for applications where heat, moisture, and vibration are a concern. The pre-assembled connectors come with a proprietary two-piece technology that supports 2-, 3-, 4-, 5-, 6-, 10-, and 14-way connections. Common uses include wire harnesses for engines, chassis, and devices in commercial, agricultural, construction, off-road, and specialty vehicle markets. These systems support wire sizes from 22 to 10 AWG and are available in sealed and unsealed configurations. A 5.25-mm terminal pitch and 6.4-mm row spacing makes these connectors suitable for a wide range of applications.

Featuring 1.27-mm contact center spacing, these bi-level card extenders are built for high pin-count, high temperature applications. The devices are designed to be replacements for 2.54-mm center spacing parts, since they double the number of contacts within the same area while ensuring reliability and integrity of connector electrical performance. Manufactured with beryllium-copper pins with PPS/PA97 insulators for -65° to 125° C, the extenders facilitate interconnection of 0.062-inch +/- .008-inch daughtercards in such applications as backplanes, power converters, and power supplies for communications, medical equipment and instrumentation, and automotive R&D.
