Training video highlights features of metal welders

Jun 1, 2007

Sonobond Ultrasonics says its newly launched demonstration video features its metal welders that will be on display at the upcoming National Electrical Wire Processing Technology Expo (WPE). The four-minute video shows the performance advantages of Sonobond’s SpliceRite ultrasonic wire splicer and SonoWeld 1600 digital metal spot welder for wire-to-wire and wire-to-terminal applications. The video also can be viewed in English and Spanish versions at the company website.

“We’re aware of how important it is for potential customers to see our welders in operation,” says Janet Devine, president of Sonobond Ultrasonics. “Now, if they can’t attend WPE, all they need to do is visit our website.”

Sonobond’s welders are designed to allow tooling changes to be made in a minute or less without recalibration, reducing downtime and lowering operating costs. The company’s heat-treated, tool steel Taper Lock Tips can perform up to 100,000 welds before needing replacement.

These welders also have microprocessor controllers built into their power supplies to store and recall up to 250 jobs, ensuring that pre-selected weld requirements are achieved.
