TOOL KIT FOR HEAVY-DUTY CRIMPS

The RFA-4009-20 cushion-gripped crimp handle weighs 1.3 pounds and is designed to deliver piston-driven compression for installation of crimp ferrules on large-diameter cables. For safety and efficiency, the ratcheting mechanism is designed to release only after the ferrule is completely crimped. Two die sets are available for use with this crimp handle. The RFA-4009-01 has a 0.61-inch hex cavity for use with 0.6-inch-diameter cable. The RFA-4009-02 is designed for use with 0.4-inch-diameter cable with a 0.429-inch hex cavity for ferrules and a 0.118-inch hex cavity for contacts. The RFA-4009-02 kit contains the RFA-4009-20 handle and both the RFA-4009-01 and RFA-4009-02 die sets packaged together in a form-lined plastic case with expansion slots to accommodate four additional die sets.

CONDUCTOR TERMINATION LUG

For conductor termination in confined spaces, such as molded case circuit breakers, motor controls, and other panel or control components, the line of UL-listed Color-Keyed Narrow Tongue Lugs has been redesigned with an engineered width for a uniform connector dimension. The lugs are made of high-conductivity, seamless, electrolytic wrought-copper tubing that is electro-plated with tin to prevent corrosion. Other features include a double-chambered barrel to facilitate safe insertion of conductors into the lug, and color-coding to ensure correct matching lugs to die sets, correct number and location of crimps for installation, and proper inspection and verification of connections.
