A new 0.165-inch/4.2-mm pitched large-scale, high-density, connector housing from General Electronic Materials Technology plays a heavy-duty role in high-current, rigidized wire-harness applications (such as automobile industries) where low engagement force couple-decouple with high durability is necessary. The connector is UL-1007 and UL-1061 series-rated.
The connector housing includes male and female compartments that mate each other with fully isolated male-female terminal connection, and with an overall polarized locking ramp at the male end, as well as an overall polarized locking latch at the female end.
The housing features high-temp Nylon-66 material and a dual-row structure with circuit size up to 24 positions. Both male and female contacts feature a 0.008-inch/0.2-mm-thick tin-plated brass plate stamped into four-sided (three-sided in male) hollow shape, with crimp terminal accepting wire sizes 18-24 AWG.
