Rajinder Rai has been appointed vice president/research and development at Endicott Interconnect Technologies (www.endicottinterconnect.com). He assumes responsibility for the management of resources and support functions for current and future R&D activities, including assembling a development team to implement advanced processes and install state-of-the-art manufacturing capabilities. Rai has held a variety of senior design and development engineering positions with such companies as BAE Platform Solutions, IBM Microelectronics, and IBM TJ Watson Research, with expertise in electronic packaging, process development and new product introduction.
Sheri Woodruff, vice president of media relations for Tyco International (www.tyco.com), has been named vice president of corporate communications for Tyco Electronics at its new headquarters in Berwyn, PA. Paul Fitzhenry, most recently senior director and team leader for corporate communications at Pfizer Inc., has been chosen to fill Woodruff’s former responsibilities with the parent company. Previously, Fitzhenry was group director of media relations and financial communications for Pharmacia Corp.
