Pre-polished fiberoptic connectors join the company’s LC and SC Opticam line, designed to provide field termination in less than half the time of typical field-polish connectors. According to the company, a patent-pending re-termination capability provides yield rates approaching 100%. A dual-cam design secures the fiber and buffer in one action to ensure consistent termination results and high fiber tensile load.

SC AND LC TIGHT-JACKETED CONNECTORS

Featuring a non-pull-proof design, terminations of these SC and LC connectors for tight-jacketed cable construction allows the jacket and buffer to move together; originally, SC and LC connectors were designed for pull-proof applications and required the buffer to move independently of the fiber jacket, possibly inducing micro-bend leading to increased insertion loss or fiber breakage. Connectors are available in singlemode and multimode versions, for 1.6 to 2.4-mm cable diameter.
