An IDE JBOD/RAID PCI-E controller, USB 2.0-to-eSATA adapter, and a PCI-E-to-ExpressCard controller are designed for adding new capabilities and connecting devices to desktop, server, and laptop computers. The IDE controller adds an extra IDE channel, RAID, and JBOD capability to any desktop system, and can be used to connect two IDE or ATAPI devices, or a combination of each in master/slave configuration. The USB adapter lets you connect eSATA devices to the ubiquitous USB 2.0 port, or connect standard SATA devices to the port by using the company’s SATA-to-eSATA converter cable. The PCI-E/ExpressCard controller lets you add an ExpressCard socket to any desktop, and is especially suited for sharing any ExpressCard adapter between notebooks and desktops.

TERMINAL BLOCK EQUIVALENTS

These terminal blocks are billed as identical equivalents to the Allen Bradley 1492J series, Phoenix Contact UKN series, and Weidmuller WDU series so that accessories of each can be used on these devices. There are no visual differences in housing color. Metal clamping bodies are made of a nickel-plated copper alloy, and screws are plated to prevent corrosion. All materials are RoHS-compliant.

NETWORK INTERFACE CONNECTIVITY

The Inline Ethernet/IP bus coupler provides 10/100 TX Ethernet/IP connectivity to the company’s Inline stations of up to 63 I/O modules. A two-digit diagnostic display and LEDs are designed to supply module and network status, including local indication loss of network communication that allows basic installation and maintenance when access to laptops or Web pages is not possible. Also, a Fieldline Modular DeviceNet bus coupler offers a DeviceNet interface for the company’s Fieldline modular IP65/67 machine-mount I/O system. The bus coupler begins the I/O station with a DeviceNet interface and eight built-in digital inputs. The station can include up to 16 digital or analog I/O modules, for a total of 136 digital points or 64 analog channels. Individual modules are interconnected using SPEEDCON M12 connections and flexible copper cable, spanning a distance of more than 65 feet. Features include auto-baud-rate selection and auto-configuration.

ROCKWELL AUTOMATION I/O ADAPTER

A new faceplate adapter has been added to the company’s Systems Cabling product line that includes connectivity to the Rockwell Automation 1769 expansion I/O cards. These adapters are available for multiple I/O cards, including 8- and 32-channel digital input and output cards, as well as various analog cards. According to the company, the adapters are designed to help reduce installation and commissioning time, eliminate I/O wiring errors, and decrease troubleshooting and maintenance in the field.

SEALED CIRCULAR I/O INTERFACES

Acclimate sealed circular interfaces are designed to meet IP68 specifications for dust and waterproof sealing in industrial or other harsh environment applications. Both ends of the system are offered with standard cable plugs up to 2 meters long, and can be sealed on one or both ends. Interfaces are available for Ethernet and USB applications. The USB system can be specified with either A- or B-Type plugs on either end. Panel interface receptacles are self-contained and are terminated to the board with standard USB or Ethernet cable jumpers.

These IP67 and military-grade accessories for Industrial Ethernet applications include an RJ-45 Ethernet plug and bulkhead connector, power plug, and protective cap with tether-all designed to fit over standard Ethernet cables. LAND GRID ARRAY SOCKET

This land grid array (LGA) socket is designed to bring conventional connector material construction to a high performance solution for digital micro-mirror device (DMD) applications used with Texas Instruments’ DLP products. Available in 152, 166, and 203 staggered contacts, the socket is suited for projectors and rear-projection televisions. Connection is via a pressure contact system, where the DMD is sandwiched between the housing and circuit board. Sockets feature: lead-free, wide floating contacts; contact resistance of 35-mΩ maximum; insulation resistance of 10,000-MΩ minimum at 500 volts DC.
