Electrical Components International Holdings Co. (ECI; www.electricalcomponentsinternational.com), a provider of wire harnesses, subassemblies, and value-added assembly services, is set to purchase GenTek Inc.’s (www.gentek-global.com) Noma Wire and Cable Assembly business.

From manufacturing facilities in Mexico, Canada, and India, the Noma business provides assemblies for electronic office equipment and other electronic products to customers in the automotive and household-appliance industries. The transaction does not include Gen-Tek’s Noma CableTech business located in Mineral Wells, TX.

In September, ECI acquired wire-harness and assembly maker CABIND SpA. With headquarters in Turin, Italy, CABIND has manufacturing and logistics facilities in Germany, Poland, and Russia.
