STRIP AND SEAL INSPECTOR

The LPA (laser profile analysis) series of strip and seal sensors are designed to capture a complete profile image of the end of the wire as it passes on-the-fly through the sensing window. According to the company, when used in conjunction with a crimp force monitor, the LPA series offers wire harness manufacturers the maximum “zero defect” quality monitory possible, without adding time to the process or cost to the part produced. These sensors compare each production part to a reference or learned profile of a wire, ensuring that every wire is within the specified tolerance while detecting defects such as strip length errors, pulled strands, improper seal orientation/position, or splayed strands.
