The FODLC-IND series cables feature IP66/67-rated industrial grade duplex multimode LC connectors designed for harsh environments. Designed to handle in excess of 59 pounds of force and with an indoor/outdoor-rated breakout style cable, these water-resistant assemblies can be placed in a trough or conduit. In addition to several stocked lengths, the company can also manufacture custom lengths that meet your exact specifications.

The Light ARMOR fiberoptic connector assembly product line is designed to provide a lightweight, durable solution for applications requiring more ruggedization than typically available from fiberoptic patch cords. Constructed with a protective plastic jacketing, these assemblies are crush-resistant, waterproof, and protect fiber minimum bend radius, making them especially suitable for industrial and semi-harsh environments. The connector assemblies are available in simplex and duplex construction with LC, ST, SC, FC, MU, MIL ST, and MIL connector options; singlemode, multimode or polarization-maintaining fiber types; and in a variety of custom configurations.

PRE-POLISHED CONNECTORS

LC OptiCam pre-polished fiberoptic connectors are designed to provide field terminations in less than half the time of field-polish connectors. With a patent-pending retermination capability, the OptiCam connectors are designed to provide yield rates approaching 100%. The devices include the rear pivot latch that is featured on all of the company’s LC small-form-factor connectors, offering flexibility in behind-the-wall as well as main and intermediate cross-connect installations. The factory pre-polished fiber stub endface is designed to eliminate field polishing, reducing installation costs, labor, and scrap. A dual-cam design secures the fiber and buffer in one action, providing what the company says is consistent termination results while reducing termination time.

The Pro Beam mini connector is a lower profile design of the company’s modular version, built to shorten the connector length and featuring a reduced weight of nearly 50%. Developed to provide a solution for rugged fiberoptic applications requiring tightly packaged connections outside the circular standard, this modified design minimizes use of board real estate and meets connection needs in stacked/matrix applications. The connectors feature the company’s Expanded Beam technology that collimates a transmission signal into an optical beam over 14x its original signal diameter, and up to 200x its cross-sectional area for multimode, and up to 45x its original signal diameter and up to 2,000x its cross-sectional area for singlemode.
