Belden (St. Louis, MI), a manufacturer of high-speed electronic cables, including connectivity products, has named Naresh Kumra as vice president Business Development. Kumra has been an associate principal at McKinsey & Company, of Stamford, CT since 1999, where he was responsible for co-leadership of private equity and growth/innovation practices. He also worked for Schlumberger Industries in New Delhi, India, and Poitiers, France, as a software engineer, manufacturing manager, and product line manager. Kumra will focus on organic growth opportunities and lead a systematic approach to acquisitions.
ATX (Ontario, Canada), a manufacturer for the cable television industry, has appointed Larry Enterline to the position of non-executive chairman of the board. Enterline is currently CEO of COMSYS IT Partners, (CITP on Nasdaq), a leading information technology services company. Feustel has spent many years in the telecom and optical connectivity industry, most recently as a tech manager in strategic marketing and development for OFS, and earlier for Avaya, Lucent Technologies, and AT&T (Bell Labs). Singer/songwriter and engineer/producer Jim Messina has connected with audio connector manufacturer Neutrik (Lakewood, NJ), choosing the company’s NPPA 96 Bantam (TT) jacks for audio production on upcoming projects. Most noted for his work with music industry veteran Kenny Loggins, Messina is using Neutrik’s NPPA-TT-E56 Bantam, a compact patching system for 19-inch rack-mounting. Housed in a black-coated steel shell, the system features an “Easy Patch” patch panel 2x48 TT (Bantam) jacks, and half normaled 6x56 pole EDAC male connectors.
Kevin Marcondes has been named operations manager for fiberoptic connectorization manufacturer KITCO Fiber Optics (Virginia Beach, VA). He joined the company last year and has served as buyer. Before joining KITCO, Marcondes was production manager for Acculaser Technologies (Fall River, MA). He holds a BS in business management/operations from the University of Massachusetts.
