COAXIAL STRIPPER

This coaxial stripper cuts RG-59 and RG-6 coaxial cable. It can be used with both standard- and quad-shield cable. Multiple-size stripping stations strip both the outer jacket and the inner conductor. The tool has an exclusive hex-shaped slot that helps push ‘f’ connectors onto the cable. The blade is curved and the spring-return reduces hand fatigue. An air-pocket cushion grips for added comfort.

The C100 shielded cable defletching machine can be used to de-fletch the ends of shielded cables for high-volume applications. The tool is used where the shield must be removed to expose the second layer of wires for insulation stripping. The machine is designed for shielded cable up to 15-mm in diameter. Two rotating brush elements quickly and safely straighten out the shielded braids. The brushes are adjustable and can be set for optimal operation on different wire sizes.

LeadTracer XRF is a handheld XRF spectrum analyzing system that detects and measures lead throughout the manufacturing process. The LeadTracer’s isotope-based design generates high-energy lead X-rays from the entire material rather than the surface, eliminating false negative conditions. The system includes universal data collection software installed on a Palm-Top device. LeadTracer is designed for such applications as incoming inspections, manufacturing process verification for first article monitoring and inspection, as well as final assembly verification, and rework and repair verification.

This coaxial cable stripper is designed specifically for RG-6 quad-shielded coaxial cable. The sping-action operation grips-and-strips cable in one motion, promising improved user productivity and reduced fatigue. The tool features knife-type, form-ground blades that were engineered exclusively for the application. The tool also features a sturdy die-cast frame designed to assure long-term durability even under the harshest environments.

SURFACE PREPARATION BRUSHES

FybRglass surface preparation brushes are for soldering, painting, and epoxying applications. The roughening of the surface enhances adhesion of paint, solder, and epoxy. Other uses include cleaning electrical contacts, removing rust, epoxy, and paint, and cleaning injection molds and foil stamping dies. The brushes are used in the printed circuit board industry for PC board rework including flux removal, edge connector cleaning, trace cleaning for soldering, and tarnish removal.

The PAT81KFT-18V 4-POINT battery-powered hydraulic crimping tool is designed for use on copper, aluminum, compressed, compact, stranded, solid, and flex conductors. The tool incorporates a dieless latch head design, which eliminates the need to purchase and maintain dies. It features a 360° head rotation and is designed for almost any position. The ergonomic design allows for one hand operation so the other is free to position the connectors and conductor prior to crimping. Other features include an audible pressure “pop-off” valve and die embossment and advanced high speed pump design for faster crimps.

MEASUREMENT TOOL

The HiSpex X-ray fluorescence coating thickness and composition measurement tool measures thin-metal film-deposition thickness and compositions, and determines elemental composition of solids. The tool is used for coating applications where films below 4 μm are employed and/or binary and ternary alloy stacks are required, and where complex alloy coatings and/or base materials need to be determined. The HiSpeX is optimal for typical microwave and RF device applications, including Ni, Ni-P, Ag, Au, Sn, and Sn-Pb. The tool also allows for material sorting, and can measure any typical connector.

The 2193F hard-wire flush cutter has cutting jaws that produce a square cut on both wire ends, and requires less force than ordinary cutters. The cutter is built for cutting aviation safety wire, and features Xuro-Rubber hand grips with a return spring and a comfortable hold, compact jaws, and self-adjusting clamping fixtures that hold the wire flat and perpendicular. It is made of alloyed steel and is heat-treated with hardened cutting edges to Rc 60-62, and a precision screw and post pivot.

The CrimpCenter 63 is a fully automatic wire-crimping machine with three processing stations. It allows high-quality crimping, sealing, twisting, tinning of wires from 10 to 26 AWG at maximum productivity. The machine’s belt-feed system is capable of feeding wire at 12-m/sec (39.4 ft/sec). The combination of the feed system and its six servo motors with advanced programming technology makes the CrimpCenter 63 one of the fastest cut/strip/terminate machines on the market, its manufacturer says. Users of the CrimpCenter 63 can incorporate the ToolingShuttle System, which minimizes changeover time of a crimping station to less than 30 seconds. Depending on how often the user changes applications, the system can increase productivity by 30 percent or more, the company says. The ToolingShuttle System enables complete setup of one crimping station in less than 30 seconds, as well as eliminating the need for applicator setup at the machine, since setup can be done while the machine is producing.
