New report analyzes global military connector market

Dec 19, 2011

Now available from MarketPublishers.com (UK), the new market research report World Military Market for Connectors, from Bishop & Associates, features in-depth analysis of all aspects of the world military connector market.

The report identifies current major military programs and future applications with high potential for growth, and provides a breakdown of the market value for connectors by region, by type, and wherever possible, by application. Moreover, connector sales and forecasts for the years 2009, 2010, and 2015 can also be found in the study. Market segments covered in the report include: military avionics, missile systems, space systems, land forces, C4I systems, naval vessels, unmanned vehicles.

According to Bishop & Associates, during the last five years, governments worldwide have continuously spent on average 2.7% of their global GDP on military expenditure. With the reduced global expenses on new platforms in North America and Europe, as troops continue to withdraw from Afghanistan and Iraq, there will be more spending on upgrades and retrofit programs. The report predicts that sales in North America, Europe, and Japan will be modest, while those in China will substantially increase. The Asia-Pacific and ROW is also anticipated to have above average growth.

The research contends that three areas of growth, beyond the traditional circular and printed circuit board (PCB) connectors, will be seen in the application specific, heavy duty, and the radio frequency (RF) coax family. The increase in sales in these families will be attributed to an increase in portable power requirements and the continued advancement of network centric operations/warfare, where every vehicle, ship, plane, weapon, and soldier becomes a node on huge strategic information network.

The report is priced at $3,950. More reports by Bishop & Associates can be found at http://marketpublishers.com/members/bishopinc/info.html.
