CDM gets Canadian rep

CDM Electronics (Turnersville, NJ), a distributor of commercial and military (MIL-Spec) interconnect products and a provider of value-added contract manufacturing services, announced recently an agreement with J.A.T. Electronics, a Canadian-based manufacturer’s representative firm. The agreement is effective immediately, and authorizes the marketing, sales, and support of all CDM products and services throughout Canada. Under the terms of the agreement, J.A.T. will sell CDM’s full lines of circular, printed-circuit, rack-and-panel, RF, and audio communications connectors to OEMs, EMS providers, and end users. The rep firm is charged with marketing CDM’s interconnect products to companies in the military, aerospace, industrial, medical, and telecommunications markets. Additionally, J.A.T. will offer direct in-the-field support to key accounts, and promote CDM’s comprehensive offering of customized interconnect solutions to their existing customer base and to prospective customers.

Anritsu appoints ECM distributor

Anritsu Company, a subsidiary of Anritsu, announced recently the appointment of East Coast Microwave (ECM) as an authorized distributor for Anritsu’s connector and component product lines. The appointment of ECM, which has offices in Stoneham, MA and Bradenton, FL, will allow Anritsu to better serve its customers and is expected to help Anritsu increase its market share in components. Anritsu is recognized for its ‘K’ and ‘V’ connectors, both of which are now industry standards. ECM has stocked Anritsu’s complete line of precision, calibration-grade, and instrument-grade components. These products include adapters (coax and waveguide), terminations, attenuators (fixed and step), opens/shorts/loads, detectors, power dividers/splitters, bias tees, DC blocks, and limiters.

Whitney Blake acquires Adirondack

Whitney Blake (Bellows Falls, VT), a designer and manufacturer of custom cable and assemblies, announced recently the acquisition of Adirondack Wire & Cable (AWC), a division of ASC Industries. AWC is a manufacturer of cable and cable assemblies for telecommunications, voice, and data communications. Whitney Blake will continue to offer coil cords and custom cable assemblies in addition to AWC’s comprehensive product line. Operations at the AWC facility in Monterrey, Mexico, will be maintained, and all key personnel will be retained. AWC products are available through telecom/data/voice distributors and specified by end users, RBOCs, and CATV and OEM markets worldwide.
