The Pulse-Lok PL-1200 series of medical instrumentation connectors feature a Pulse-Lok coupling and a push-and-click auto-latching mechanism that provides tactile and visual confirmation that the connector pair is securely engaged. The series offers densities up to 78 contact positions, and is available in disposable and rugged reusable models. These termination options include multi-contact solder pads and crimp-and-poke stamped contacts. Optional integrated passive and active electronic components identify and limit the use of single-use disposable catheters. The PL-1200 series are EtO-, gamma-, and steam-sterilizable, and are sealed to IP67 standards.

These spring-loaded modular contacts are available from 0.137” to 0.295” profiles. They can be arranged in grid arrays down to 0.100”, supplied in single- and double-row contact strips, and are available on tape-and-reel. Contacts have a precision-machined piston, base, and gold-plated components, assuring a 100,000 minimum cycle life. All contacts have a long stroke relative to the low profile of the assembly. The current rating of each contact is 2 A continuous and 3 A peak. Custom spring-loaded connectors are typically used as the base unit (battery/charger) interface for portable equipment such as mobile phones/radios, bar-code readers, and medical and test instruments.

This new line of shielded atrial catheter cables suit diagnostic equipment. These cables meet DIN 42802-2 and IEC 60601-1-sub-56.3(c) specifications and all applicable AAMI/AMSI EC-53 performance requirements. The flexible, multi-conductor, low-capacitance trunk cable is double-shielded to reduce EMI-EMF-triboelectric noise, and is available in various lengths for different applications. The trunk cable and shielded leadwire jackets, yoke, and strain reliefs are all made of Santoprene, a TPR material, used for medical applications. The shrouded, 0.080” pin leads are available in four to 14 conductor configurations in ten colors. All cables are terminated with various device connectors, and will withstand repeated 100% steam autoclave, gamma, and EtO sterilization.

The 63078 test sockets make contact on two sides of a laminated substrate-a device used in an implantable pacemaker/defibrillator assembly. The sockets use double-ended spring probes and a PCB with gold-plated terminal posts to translate signals from the top side of the substrate to the socket base, resulting in a practical test-board mounting method.
