The VersaBlade connector system is designed for wire harnessing in multi-circuit appliance/HVAC wire-to-wire and panel-mount applications. The VersaBlade connector system enables users to design their harnessing around one system, rather than using various different power and signal connector styles. The connector system is based on three components, 1.78-mm-wide flat-blade tab terminals, multi-configured modular housings, and terminal position assurance inserts. With an industry-standard, 1.80-mm terminal, the connector system accepts 14- to 22-AWG wire, and can carry 4 to 15 A and 300 V.

FIBEROPTIC CONNECTORS

The PRO BEAM fiberoptic interconnects are designed for high-data-rate connections where resistance to severe environmental conditions is necessary. These connectors have been expanded and shrunk in size to allow them to be used with ARINC 600 and 404 shells in conjunction with inserts and holder blocks. The expansion and collimation of the optical transmission of the connectors allow for easy connector alignment, and have low sensitivity to thermal changes and contamination. Resistance to vibration and low-loss performance makes the expanded beam interface well-suited for many aerospace, avionics, field communication, defense, and other applications where harsh operating conditions exist.

ADAPTERS

The XLR/triple binding post/RJ11 adapters incorporate a rugged, molded exterior, and simplify connections to phone lines for ring-down tests of audio lines or phone communications across audio cables. Gold-plated pins and three color-coded, five-way binding posts (for high, low, and ground terminals) accept bare wires via through-holes, alligator clips, spade lugs, and single-, dual-, or triple-banana plugs connected either vertically or horizontally because of the ¾” spacing between banana jacks. The XLR adapters eliminate the need to splice together an ad hoc adapter.

The Eliminator male F connectors eliminate the cable once required in connecting tuner modules for TVs directly to the printed-circuit box. The right-angle Eliminator is only needed to connect to the tuner module and drop the assembly onto the board. The Eliminator is made of precision-machined brass, Teflon insulators, and gold-plated contacts, and accommodates a wide array of center-line heights.

The microFX compact M12 multimode connectors meet IP67 protection requirements, and are available in two versions. They enable terminating equipment at the machine level to be connected reliably to the data network or additionally powered under harsh environmental conditions. The multimode connectors either have two optical contacts or a combination with two additional power contacts. The optical interface designed for all common fiberoptic cable types is based on standard LC ferrules with a diameter of 1.25 mm and a low insertion loss of less than 0.3 dB.

These WA6 series micro-dual-in-line memory module (DIMM) connectors feature a small footprint and comply with JEDEC DDR2 specifications. Typical applications include use in notebook computers, PDAs, and any small, handheld device using internal memory modules. Additional features include 214 contacts with 0.4-mm spacings. The connector plug is used on the memory module side and the receptacle is used on the system side. Specifications include a current rating of 3 A per contact (AC and DC), 500-VAC dielectric withstanding voltage (one minute), contact resistance of less than 70 mΩ, and an operating temperature range of -55°C to 85°C.

These SMP connectors were developed to help designers reduce the size and increase the density on micro integrated circuit (MIC) packaging. This new evaluation test and measurement board has two SMP edgecard receptacles. The receptacle presents a 1.15 maximum VSWR, and an insertion loss of 0.12 F dB maximum. These connectors offer high performance-up to 40 GHz for 50 Ω RF and microwave applications. The SMP series is designed for military applications such as phased arrays, active antennas, satellites, airborne, shipboard, or ground radar.

CRIMP CONNECTORS

The EZ-200-NMH-D no-solder EZ crimp connectors are designed for LMR-200 and LMR-200-LLPL cables. The combination hex/knurl coupling nut on the connectors allow tightening by hand or with a wrench. The tri-metal plating on the connectors, in place of silver, eliminates tarnishing. A ridged landing area on the aft end gives the connectors a better grip, and sealing of the heat shrink boot provides improved strain relief and weather sealing.

These filter connectors are now offered with integrated dual flanges and wash slots. A dual flange can be incorporated into the connector design to ease final assembly and reduce system build. Self-locking clinch nuts fixed to the front flange result in faster assembly to the bulkhead and eliminate the need to purchase additional assembly components. These features can be accommodated in virtually all filter connector variants, and enable the true system cost to be reduced for the user.
