These M8 and M12 sensor connectors are used for automation systems. The M12 connector is recommended as a fieldbus connector for almost any fieldbus application. The M12 female connectors are fully flexible in application and have SMT connections for bulk packaging and feeding. Economic component pricing is achieved using automated processing and the discontinuation of a pick-and-place pad and high-grade packaging. This concept allows connectors to be produced at various heights and with different pin configurations, even M8 versions with three or four pins can be made. SMT, pressfit, and THR termination is available.

The Ventura connectors are high-speed, high-density connectors that feature 178 real signals/inch and 93 differential signals/inch in its 14-row version. Using SMT, the Ventura design reduces via effects and enables higher performance by replacing the standard compliant pin-plated through-hole with a 10- or 12-mil via. The Ventura connector’s platform allows use in both 6.25-Gbit/s single-ended and 12-Gbit/s differential applications. High-speed, single-ended electrical performance features <5% cross talk and <2 dB at 6 GHz and <3 dB at 8 GHz insertion losses.

The Compel 1.0/2.3 SMT-compatible multi-interface connector series facilitates PCB edge-mount assembly and also accommodates tight packaging density. These connectors are available with one-, two-, three-, four-, and eight-coax interface combinations in a single housing. Frequency coverage is from DC 2 GHz in standard 75-Ω impedance value and DC 10 GHz in optional 50-Ω impedance. Standard housings are cast from a lightweight Zemac alloy or a liquid-crystal polymer plastic housing. Units are available in tape-and-reel packaging to facilitate automated manufacturing.

TERMINAL BLOCKS

These 120-M-221-SMD surface-mount terminal blocks have a multi-pole header with 5-mm center-to-center spacing. These blocks have total co-planar adaptability to the PCB surface and coefficient of thermal expansion (CTE) mismatch elimination capability. This is ensured through the design of the pins that are adaptable to planar variations of the PCB surface during the entire cycle of the reflow process. A universal, thermo-resistant keyed pick cap is designed to ensure pick-and-place capability of headers for both even- and odd-pole versions.

This high-temperature edgecard series now includes staggered dip solder and card extender/SMT parts, as well as those featuring right-angle bend terminations. The RoHS-compliant series, featuring 1.00-mm contact centers, facilitates the durable board-to-board interconnection of 0.062" to ±0.008" daughtercards. They offer 50 signals/linear inch, and are rated to withstand 150°C continual heat. The double-row connectors have electrical and physical characteristics, as well as design flexibility, signal integrity, and manufacturing efficiencies. This series is ideal for use in high-temperature, high-pin-count, lead-free applications requiring the circuit connection of PCBs to 0.062" daughterboards.

The GIG-Array high-speed, high-density mezzanine connector series now includes new connector configurations that provide 200 signal contacts at 15-, 20-, 25-, 30-, or 35-mm board spacings. The GIG-Array line is designed for 100-Ω matched impedance to support differential signaling at data rates of 10 Gbit/s with low crosstalk to preserve signal integrity. The connector family is effective for high-speed board-stacking applications in server, storage, transmission, switching, and networking equipment.

The SF-QFE-32SA-L-01-F SMT package emulator attaches to PCB SMT pads for a 32-pin, 0.8-mm-pitch QFP, and is RoHS-compliant and lead-free. The SF-QFE-32SA-L-01-F allows a set of available interconnects for probing, in-circuit emulation, or connecting to another assembly. The emulator is attached to the target board with standard lead-free soldering methods. The PCB used in the adapter is RoHS-compliant with an immersion silver finish. Secondary modules such as probing adapters, ICE products, or other electronic modules, can be plugged onto the gold-plated pins of the emulator.

These SMT FPC connectors offer ultra-low profiles, reduced depth, and high cable-retention forces for mobile-phone LCDs and other tight packaging applications. The 0.50-mm-pitch 501461 FPC series offers a profile height of 0.80 mm and depth of 3.20 mm. They are offered in four to eight circuit sizes, and include the BackFlip actuator that facilitates cable insertion and provides good retention. The 0.30-mm-pitch 500797 series includes a terminal design with opposing forces that provide secure cable retention. It also includes a low-insertion-force feature that holds the cable in place. This 1.05-mm-height connector is available in 11 to 51 circuit sizes.

These RF surface-mount coaxial connectors (SMCC) are available in various standard interfaces: coaxial series, SMP, Mini-SMP, MCX, SMA, QMA, or flexible microstrip connectors for misalignment compensation with repeatable electrical characteristics, FAKRA-RF automotive connectors, and high-precision test-and-measurement connectors. These SMCC products convert signals from coaxial to planar waveguide mode inside the connector via an innovative miniature transition. This design leads to optimal return loss, isolation performance, a low dispersion transmission characteristic, and optimized performance for MCX connectors to 12 GHz, although specified to 6 GHz.
