A two-day Connector Technology Seminar, co-sponsored by ConnNText Associates, ConTech Research, and Connector Specifier, held October 24-25 in N. Attleboro, MA, was deemed worth its salt by attendees. The seminar is designed as an “education on connector basics” for engineers, covering contact interface structure, circuit theory, contact finishes, failure theory, seperable interfaces, materials, testing, and more.
Attendee Mark Dunbar, PCB design engineer at Maxtor, said, “The complexities of the technology are broken down to their basic constituents and discussed in detail by two of the preeminent experts in this field. Max Peel and Bob Mroczkowski demystify the issues in easy-to-understand segments that are clearly documented with copious color slides, graphs, and descriptions, leaving few stones unturned. Students are provided plenty of time to review course-related questions or their own specific connector issues at the end of the seminar.
“The location [at the Colonel Blackington Inn] was a pleasant surprise, providing excellent and very convenient dining for lunch in an elegant, New England setting. Our class was sold out, which should be expected considering the value!”
The next Connector Technology Seminar is scheduled to occur in April 2006, again in N. Attleboro, MA. For more information, contact Bob Mroczkowski at connntextassoc@aol.com.
