“Tiger Eye” contacts are multi-finger, precision-stamped-and-formed, beryllium-copper, heat-treated to optimize spring properties for maximum cycles. These contacts are available in 1.27-mm and 2-mm-pitch connector sets and in insulation-displacement-crimp cable systems. Optional palladium-nickel plating and lower-cost, phosphor-bronze Tiger Eye LITE versions are also available. Connector families include polarized and shrouded systems, friction-lock systems, right-angle systems, and four-row systems.

These vertical PCI Express cardedge connectors support backplane designs based on the “SHB Express” PCI Express specification, PICMG 1.3. The connectors at the interface between the SHB and backplane are defined as ×8 and ×16 PCI Express connectors. Solder and press-fit connectors are available in standard ×1, ×4, ×8, or ×16 link widths.
