The S177A handheld core alignment fusion splicer is designed for fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) and LAN installations, as well as trunk-line installations. The splicer incorporates a heating design that cuts splice-to-heat time by 40 %, and achieves a 9-second splice time and 37-second heat time. The unit’s T-shaped body weighs 4.85 lbs, and is ideal for fast field use. Its fiber magnification power is 608×, and an improved graphical user interface (GUI) facilitates operation. A transflective LCD screen provides a clear view of splicing operations in all conditions, from complete darkness to bright sunlight.

MANUAL PAIL PUMP

The model 560092B manual pail pump is designed to extract bulk viscous materials from 5-gallon, straight-walled pails, such as grease and paint. The pump easily bottom-fills 2.5-, 6-, 8-, or 12-oz cartridges and 3- to 55-cc lure-lock syringes, preventing any air from being trapped in the syringe or cartridge. An internal follower-plate ensures that most material is used. Once filled, the syringe or cartridge can be used with an automatic dispenser.

TORQUE WRENCH

This adjustable torque wrench comes with inserts for Micro (M12) and Pico (M8) field-attachable and overmolded connectors. With this tool, connectors can be tightened or loosened with a quick turn of the hand to facilitate installation of connectors in tight spaces. The wrench applies the appropriate amount of torque while obtaining optimal sealingand connection without over-tightening. The wrench is adjustable from 0.3 to 1 Nm, which accommodates the recommended torque of 0.3 Nm for Pico connectors and 0.5 to 0.7 Nm for Micro connectors.
