This “5 Minute” fast-curing epoxy adhesive gel is ideal for both assembly and repairs, and does not require fixturing. The gel can withstand service temperatures from -40°F to 200°F (dry). With a cured dielectric strength of 490 V/mil and a compressive strength of 10,000 psi, this gel is suitable for potting/encapsulating of electronic components, as well as bonding metals, fabrics, ceramics, glass, wood, and concrete. The gel has a mixed viscosity of 150,000 cps, and its gap-filling properties work well on metals, ceramics, and wood. The gel also repairs cracks.

SYRINGE HEATER

The DL syringe heater for programmable temperature control and preheating of dispense materials ensures consistent material viscosity in precision applications, such as flip-chip underfill and encapsulation. When combined with the DL HY-FLO valve, the syringe heater provides a complete solution for large-volume liquid-dispensing applications. The DL syringe heater is precision-engineered from aluminum to conduct heat directly to the syringe, while its non-conductive mounting prevents the transfer of heat to the valve or motor. The syringe heater is available in both 10- and 30-cc sizes, and operates at 24 V (up to 65 W).

For bonding and fastening applications, the CV-2680-12 thin-film adhesive can be customized to each application as standard, optically clear, and electrically and thermally conductive sheets. This reinforced, static-dissipative thin-film adhesive can be die-cut precisely to what is needed, and its low-flow characteristics eliminate overflow and many clean-up issues. The adhesive is provided in 12" × 12" sheets, and is reinforced with a fiberglass scrim.

PRE-ACTIVATED EPOXY

Loctite 3355 pre-activated epoxy adhesive works on colored and opaque substrates such as metals, plastics, glass, and ceramics that cannot transmit light. The epoxy can be dispensed directly onto an opaque part that is then exposed to UV light (254 to 365 nm) for 5 to 60 seconds, and assembled with another substrate. The light activates the adhesive, which cures to fixture strength in minutes and reaches full cure in hours at room temperature. Loctite 3355 bonds and shallow-pots optical connectors, fibers, lasers, lenses, prisms, and electronics such as computers, laptops, and printers.

PRECOTE is a fast-curing, pre-applied chemical-fastener adhesive that has a long shelf life and high structural strength. This adhesive has vibration-resistance locking and sealing properties for a wide range of internal and external fastener applications. PRECOTE is a duo-microencapsulated thread adhesive that will not prematurely harden due to chemical reactions of moisture or solvent penetration. The adhesives are ideal for automotive, aerospace, electronics, telecommunications, and other high-technology industries because they eliminate the need for additional locking devices.

The RP Series robot is optimized for sealants, epoxies, and most other fluid-dispensing applications. The dispense pattern may be taught with the machine, or a CAD file may be used such as .DXF, .PLT, or G-Code. The system features a 24" × 15" work area that fits on a standard bench top. Built-in features and utilities include automatic filling, dot dispensing, and cloning for processing multiple parts on a tray or pallet with no limitations to program size or geometry.

The 20-3001TB is a low-viscosity, unfilled epoxy adhesive and potting compound formulated to quickly fill voids and air pockets in electronic assembly operations. The accompanying TriggerBond dispensing system eliminates hand mixing, weighing, and mess for a cleaner, more efficient application of the 20-3001TB. The 20-3001TB is fast-curing and forms a glass-like finish when fully cured. It adheres to most substrates while protecting assemblies from moisture and contaminants.

The model DSP501A Autotube dispensing system dispenses all the material contained in a collapsible, toothpaste-type tube. This system provides a quick tube connection within a cartridge protected by a high-pressure metal retainer and quick-snap cap. The retainer can be inserted in a gun handle with a trigger switch or mounted on a stand and activated using a foot switch. The tube is evenly subjected to a timed air pressure, resulting in no mess, no waste, precise deposits, higher production yields, and operator comfort.

The Ultra 870 dispenser appliesepoxies, silicones, and other assembly fluids. Typical connector applications include filling components with epoxy, sealing housings with beads of RTV silicone, and applying anti-corrosion compounds to outdoor connectors. The Ultra 870 uses controlled air pressure to apply material at a uniform rate without straining or repetitive hand motions. The 0- to 100-psi (0- to 6.9-bar) pressure regulator can handle fluids ranging from thin adhesives to thick epoxies.

MACbond is a family of double-coated tapes that provides high tack for a solid bond, with minimal increase in total product thickness. The MACfilm family of rubber- and acrylic-free films is designed for edge-to-edge bonding to a variety of substrates, including low-surface-energy plastics. The MACmount family of double-coated, polyethylene foam tapes are highly conformable and compressible, providing contact between uneven, irregular, or contoured surfaces.

The Anisotropic conductive-film adhesive 7313 is a low-profile film adhesive that can be used to replace lead solder and mechanical fasteners. The adhesive 7313 is used in connecting flex circuits to PCBs, flat flex circuits, and other flex circuits. It is an electrically conductive film consisting of a heat-bondable, thermoplastic adhesive matrix loaded with conductive particles. The adhesive bonds at low temperatures, and is highly resistant to solvents. The product is used for applications with a pitch as low as 500 μm. Minimum conductor spacing is 0.25 mm, and minimum pad overlap is 0.75 mm2.
