SALEM, N.H. -- Harwin announced that Gables Engineering Inc. of Florida, a specialist in custom avionics controls and other related products, is using the Harwin Datamate high reliability connector products on a number of avionics boxes, including that of Boeing.
Gables Engineering products are used in communications, navigations, digital audio and flight control systems. Harwin notes that its Datamate 2mm pitch cable to cable, cable to board and board to board connector family is a natural fit for these applications, since the system guarantees high performance even in environments that experience severe shock, vibration and temperature conditions.
Primarily, Gables Engineering uses the Datamate L-Tek connectors with friction or locking latches; but the company also specifies Datamate J-Tek connectors, which have the added security of jackscrews.
Bill Neukomm, VP of Harwin Inc. comments, “We have been working with Gables Engineering for over 10 years on a number of different avionics programs. Datamate connectors suit the demands of the commercial aircraft industry because they ensure reliable interconnect yet are priced in line with industrial rather than military parts.”
