The LuxCis contact is the new generation of high-density, low-cost fiberoptic butt-joint physical contacts. Initially used in military and aerospace applications, the LuxCis fiberoptic interconnect system is available in standard connector formats, such as MIL-DTL-38999, ARINC 600, and EPXA & B. The connector design includes a removable sleeve holder, which provides easy access to the contact and optical face. The LuxCis terminus can be inserted and removed into the connector cavity with a standard size-16 removal tool.

These wideband monolithic 1 × 3 or 1 × 4 fused couplers have compact size, low insertion loss, high uniformity, high directivity, and low polarization dependent loss (PDL) over a wide operating wavelength range and wide input power dynamic range. The 1 × 3 coupler can provide an asymmetric coupling ratio, such as 1:1:98. These couplers are ideal for applications in CATV, FTTH, and amplifier systems.

This fiberoptic field simulation test instrument can be ordered with a variety of connector interfaces and fiber types to exactly simulate field applications. The M2 Optics Fiber Lab 3200 features standard SC/APC connectors on the front panel, with other types available, and houses individual spools of fiber that provide 1, 2, 4, or 8 dB of real fiber attenuation (or 1 to 25 km) in each of four individual attenuation areas. Eliminating fiber crimping and breakage, this instrument lets users easily connect the spools in series with short patch cords to exactly simulate field applications.

Armadillo cable assemblies feature a strain-relieved, ruggedized connector shell protecting the fiberoptic connections from being snagged, twisted, broken, or macro-bent. Available in single-mode, multimode, SC, and LC connector styles, multiple attenuation levels from 0 to 24 dB, and over 30 shell color options for easy cable attribute identification, Armadillo cable assemblies are ideal for most patch-cord applications.

The OptiMo pre-terminated fiberoptic trunk cable system provides a simplified, reliable, and cost-effective alternative to field connector installation, and is ideally suited to the data center environment. Designed to support advanced applications such as 10-Gigabit Fibre Channel (10GFC) and 10-Gigabit Ethernet (10GBASE-SR), OptiMo trunk cables are a backbone solution for data centers, storage area networks (SAN), and local area network (LAN) installations.

CONVERTER SYSTEM

A new fiberoptic converter system enables users to transmit fiberoptic data for the most popular serial communication interfaces and bus systems. The PSI-MOS fiberoptic converters allow complete isolation of Interbus, Profibus, Modbus, DeviceNet, CANopen, RS-232, and other RS-485 networks by converting the electrical copper-based signals to glass or polymer fiber technology. Discrete wiring for power is no longer necessary with the optional system power supply, power terminal block, and T-foot power bus coupler that mounts on a DIN rail. The PSI-MOS products also feature fiberoptic line monitoring and diagnostics, which increase operation reliability.
