MARKING STATION

The LMW marking workstation is available in four package sizes and comes in two heights to accommodate different focal-height optics (from 75 to 420 mm) and parts handling options. This allows a multitude of requirements to be achieved within a single platform. The LMW system is available with an optional pneumatic shuttle parts handler to boost throughput by automatically sequencing parts through the system and positioning them for marking. Two horizontal doors with safety interlocks to provide easy access to the work area while laser-safe windows allow for continuous process monitoring.

DISPENSING WORKSTATION

The new 2400 dispensing workstation applies grease, oil, and other lubricants without waste, mess, or rework. The 2400 workstation is a complete benchtop unit that uses a precision air regulator and microprocessor-controlled timer to make uniform dots and beads, or fill cavities with consistent amounts of grease. By ensuring that the same amount is applied to each part, the compact 2400 eliminates the guesswork and clean-up associated with brushes, caulking guns, and other manual applicators, with less risk of grease “migrating” into unwanted areas.

WIRE LABELER

Wire labeling is a common application where wire identification is needed and where ink-jet or hot-stamp marking cannot be used. Typically a labor-intensive job, this process can now be completely automated to improve accuracy and efficiency, and to reduce cost. This in-line cutting, stripping, and labeling system is comprised of the new Wraptor wire ID printer applicator and the latest cut and strip machines for hard-to-mark applications. Its marking versatility makes it ideal for printing logos, bar codes, times, dates, and sequencing serial numbers for each wire.

TUBING CUTTERS

The FTC1 flexible tubing cutter and LFTC1 large flexible tubing cutter are solutions for cutting flexible tubing. It cuts material from 1-1/8” to 1/4” (28.6 to 6.4 mm), and the LFTC1 large flexible tubing cutter cuts material from 2-1/8” to 1/2” (54 to 12.7 mm). Both tubing cutters are capable of processing material types including tygon, radiator hose, flexible PVC, polyurethane, silicone, nylon, PTFE, FEP, PFA, polyethylene, polypropylene, rubber, vinyl, and polystyrene.

DISPENSING ROBOT

This two-part epoxy-dispensing robot system offers an integrated control head that accommodates most standard two-part meter-mixing cartridges and tubes. These systems are self-contained and include an integrated digital valve controller, working in real time with the robotic motions. Dozens of enhanced features, such as pre-programmed dots and fills are included, as well as diagnostics and a production-history display. These systems are ideal for potting, gasketing, and sealing.

SOLDERING STATION

The Weller Micro Repair System (WMRS) is a high-powered soldering station designed specifically for fine-pitch, high-density SMT soldering and rework. The system consists of a 120-V micro-soldering station, a micro-soldering pencil with one tip, and a pencil stand. A wide selection of additional tips is available. The WMRS, which is approved for lead-free solder, was developed for industrial production engineering, as well as rework and laboratory applications. The station is equipped with the latest software-controlled digital electronics.

CABLE SHEATH STRIPPER

The JIC-4366 cable sheath stripper and ring tool is ideal for copper cables and tight buffer optical fiber cables. Used for butting and stripping cables too large for handheld pliers, the stripper uses one blade to butt PVC sheathing, and uses the second blade to strip the sheathing. The stripper is adjustable for plastic, rubber, or fabric insulation that is 0.018” to 0.031” thick.

CABLE PUSHER

The AIR-TRAK MD air-assisted cable push system provides quick installations of mini ducts and micro-fiber cables with a load-sensing system to prevent duct or cable damage. For micro-cable installation, the system eliminates tail-load forces by pushing the cable into the duct, while a cable dart carefully pulls the cable through the duct. This action reduces sidewall pressure and friction on the cable, ensuring a longer life cycle and minimal cable stress.

MODULAR WORKSTATIONS

The Series 6600 adjustable-height workstations allow operators to adjust the work-surface height by a hand-crank or motorized-drive mechanism. The motorized-drive version features a 1000-lb weight capacity, and the hand-crank version allows 500-lbs. Each features a 15.5” height-adjustment range, supporting surface sizes from 18” x 36” to 48” x 96”. Its supporting frames can be either rear- or center-justified. The center-justified frames allow two operators to simultaneously use the station, to increase the work area, and to help stabilize the workstation under heavy loads.

DISPENSING BENCHTOP

The C-450 benchtop dispensing platform combines the portability of a desktop system and the robustness of the C-500 technology. The C-450 XYZ benchtop system offers a large payload capacity and a rugged platform that is designed for electronic dispensing applications such as gasketing, sealing, potting/filling, and other automated dispensing needs. It is offered with a 13” x 11” motion envelope, a servomotor drive, and ±0.01-mm position repeatability.
