Conduit-free FOUNDATION fieldbus cables are now rated for open wiring, applying to the standard 490 and 496 cables which meet the specifications for fieldbus Type-A physical media, as defined by IEC 1158-2 and ISA-S50.02. The PVC-jacketed cables can now be installed as open wiring up to 50 ft. without metal-clad armor. Construction of the cables meets the crush and impact resistance of UL 2250 open wiring. The RISE-UP RU8 series high-speed interconnect system uses two HSEC8 series standard micro-card connectors and an HSC8 series matched-impedance PCB with an embedded ground plane for elevated board stacking.
