The MPT-SCAN enables continuous and simultaneous monitoring of all points in a product under test subjected to vibration and thermal cycling. The MPT-SCAN system will detect, record, and display all intermittent micro-opens as they occur during environmental testing with a scan rate of at least 100,000 samples per second (10 µS open capture). Some key features include 150 test-point increments, 12 VDC high-speed continuity tests, and 1 ms flex test. Applications include testing of mission-critical interconnect systems that are exposed to environmental stresses during normal operation such as military connectors, missile control panels, and aircraft power distribution centers. The 1868 A and D megohmmeters are precise, full-featured digital instruments with resistance and current measurement modes. They are capable of measuring insulation resistance from 10 kΩ to 1 PΩ at programmable DC test voltages between 10 and 1,000 V (1868A) or 50 and 5,000 V (1868D). For charging high capacitive devices, the 1868A supplies a powerful charge current up to 80 mA and the 1868D up to 18 mA. They are used for insulation resistance measurements on devices such as wires, cables, and connectors. QUADTECH, MAYNARD, MA www.quadtech.com

ANALYZERS

The Fluke 430 series three-phase handheld power quality analyzers are rated to CAT III, 1,000 V/ CAT 1V 600 V safety rating on virtually every connection in a low-voltage electrical distribution system. The meter's measurement capabilities encompass all power system parameters including true-rms voltage and current, frequency, power, power consumption (energy), unbalance, and flicker. They also automatically capture events like transients (as fast as 5 ms and as high as 6 kV), interruptions, rapid voltage changes, dips, and swells. This series is designed for power quality specialists as well as electricians and plant technicians working in industrial, healthcare, business, and public services settings. These devices can be configured as an emulator or a logic analyzer adapter. The original products became an industry standard for the popular Plastic Quad Flat Pack (PQFP), TSOP, SSOP, BGA and other high-density packages. Now they are available for QFN/MLF (QuadFlatNo lead/Micro Lead Frame) packages. These adapters allow designers to perform multiple types of test setups from logic analysis to in-circuit emulation. The QFN/MLF adapter acts like a surface mountable device, with a footprint as small as the package itself, and allows testing the circuitry with various instruments. Two new software modules for a new line of X-ray inspection systems, the qfp module, and mlf module, have recently been made available. The optional modules can be purchased with any X-ray system and are ideal for PCBA assemblers and IC packaging companies. Both the qfp module and the mlf module are fully automated measurement solutions and eliminate the need for an operator to determine pass/fail criteria. Each module provides critical features that measure QFP solder joints found on flat ribbon, L, gull-wing lead components, and the fine pitch of micro lead-frame devices. PHOENIX|X-RAY, ST.
