Silicon Bandwidth (San Jose, CA), innovator of interconnect solutions for computing and communications, announced recently the expansion of their sales and marketing force with the naming of Greg Wadas and Robynn Ridley as directors of sales. Both Wadas and Ridley join the five-year-old San Jose company with extensive experience in interconnect and semiconductor technologies, the basis of the leading-edge products Silicon Bandwidth has developed.

Wago (Germantown, WI), manufacturer of spring-pressure connection techonology, announced recently the addition of Jeff Cox to regional sales manager where he will be covering the area of Southern Wisconsin.

Cable Test Systems (Ontario, Canada), provider of total interconnect test solutions used in cable systems and interconnect products, announced recently the appointment of Michael Latchford as its western region sales manager. Latchford will be based in the Phoenix area. Latchford brings with him 15 years of experience with cable/harness testers and wiring analyzers, as well as in-circuit, functional, and bare-board test equipment.

DEK (San Jose, CA), global provider of advanced pre-placement manufacturing solutions and deposition technologies, has announced the appointment of Steve Hunter to the position of Americas operations manager for process support products, supporting the company's logistics infrastructure and manufacturing operations for DEK's stencil, tooling, and consumables products. Hunter will be responsible for all manufacturing operations including logistics, inventory and purchasing procedures, and policies for DEK process support products in the Americas.

Atlanta-based National Electronic Distributors Association (NEDA), a not-for-profit trade association, recently honored several electronic distribution industry leaders at its annual awards ceremony during the 2004 NEDA Executive Conference, held October 17–19 at the Renaissance Chicago Hotel. The highest honor, the Gail S. Carter award, was bestowed upon Ray Hall, executive vice president and CEO of the Electronics Representatives Association (ERA). The award acknowledges electronic distributor principals who have made significant contributions to the distribution industry, have taken an active role in NEDA and civic affairs and are recognized by the industry as leaders.

NEDA also presented National Semiconductor and Omron Electronics with the NEDA Manufacturer of the Year Award. The award was created in 1990 to recognize the manufacturer-supplier that best exemplifies the spirit of partnership in the electronic distribution industry. It honors two manufacturers per year: one from the passives side and one from the active side.

In addition, NEDA also honored Art Pierard, Mouser Electronics; Melanie Pizzey, TTI; Jay Smith, Future Electronics; and Clarke Walser (retired, Walser & Associates) with its Distinguished Service Award. The award is given to those individuals who make significant contributions to NEDA.

Catalyst Sales (Pittsburgh, PA), manufacturers' representative of electronic components and electromechanical devices, announced recently the appointment of Scott Allison as sales engineer. In his new position, Allison will be responsible for key sales accounts in Indiana and Kentucky.
