E-tec's new Micro D-Sub connector series is designed for use in consumer electronics applications with tight size constraints, such as laptops, notebooks, printers, etc. These smaller format connectors fulfill the technical requirements offered with regular D-Sub type connectors, says the company. Currently the female Micro D-Sub is available in a cable crimp assembly version, with the male Micro D-Sub in a right-angle PCB-mount version. The Micro D-Subs are shielded and are offered in 9-, 15-, and 25-pin versions. A detailed datasheet is available at the E-tec Website.
