SAN MARCOS, CA — Connector manufacturer Sullins Electronics announced it has successfully completed the acquisition of privately-held Micro Plastics (Chatsworth, CA) on April 27, 2004. Micro Plastics develops and manufactures solutions for encapsulation, custom molding, and edgecard applications. The polymer technology and expertise of Micro Plastics will enhance the connector portfolio at Sullins, which now includes UL/CUL-approved high-temperature, high-density, and standard edgecards and headers. Moreover, the acquisition will expand the company's penetration into such industrial, consumer, and commercial market segments as communication, medical equipment, instrumentation, security, testing, and automotive R&D.

Micro Plastics' engineering and production staff will join Sullins Electronics from their current location.
