This waterproof connector and backshell product are essential in applications where standard D-subminiature products cannot withstand exposure to contaminants such as water and dust. By using tough ABS housings, rubber gaskets, and silicone insulating rings, these products are IEC IP67-rated. Panel-mounted solder connectors are rear-mounted and fit into standard connector holes. Construction features gold-plated brass contacts, nickel-plated steel shells, and a silicone-insulating ring. They will accommodate wire ranges from 30 to 20 AWG. Backshell construction features ABS housings, nylon seals, nickel-plated brass thumbscrews, and rubber sealing gaskets.

Standard and high-density connectors are compatible with DIN 41652, IEC 48B, and HE5 standards and are available in SMT and through-hole versions. The body thickness of these D-subminiatures starts from only 4.0 mm (compared to 12.4 mm for the standard profile) and are available for regular wave solder and/or pin-in-paste process. These ultra-slim-profile D-subminiatures allow greater freedom for PCB design by offering more space on the PCB without reducing reliability or performance of the application.

The microGiGaCN high-speed, differential connector line has been expanded with an I/O plug with thumbscrews, which is the standard I/O configuration for Serial Attached SCSI four-lane, Serial ATA-2 four-lane, and 10G Fibre Channel technology. The microGiGaCN Series now offers a full-range of industry-standard, high-speed copper interconnects for various high-speed transport technologies. Aimed primarily at the server and storage industry, the microGiGaCN Series is also suited for telecom applications, optical-module-interface applications, high-speed video equipment, high-speed test equipment, logic analyzers, and medical instrumentation.

The RSSD S 45-mm/Sub-D interface modules offer two- and three-level PCB terminal positioning to save space. Conventional field wiring is placed on only one side to save cost and is designed for greater safety by preventing wiring errors. The LED status display on the interface units is optional. These modules are available in screw-clamp, tension-clamp, or spade connections for connecting valves, actuators, or sensors. The interface units can also integrate additional functions such as status indicator, signal disconnect, fuses, or shielding.

A comprehensive range of ZD Series D-subminiature connectors for cost-sensitive markets are offered with 15, 26, 44, or 62 contacts. The connectors come in a wide variety of styles and are priced significantly lower. Targeted for applications where price is a factor, ZD D-subminiature connectors feature stamped contacts with gold flash plating over the contact area. The current-carrying capacity is 5 A, while contact resistance is 20 mΩ on mated contacts. Devices have an operational temperature range of –55° to +105°C.

The new modularly designed SMT connector improves functionality and allows easy generation of a large diversity of low-cost variants. The new version is so robust that it can be processed in bulk materials without any influence on co-planarity. Rugged support is ensured through a form-fitting bolt that anchors the connectors. The line of D-subminiature connectors is available with 9, 15, 25, and 37 pins in both standard (7.3-mm) and Eurostyle (3.6-mm) mounting heights. The module approach also contains press-fitting or THR versions.

The DIN-rail-mountable, pluggable D-subminiature connector interface module is an easy means of interfacing between sensors and controllers used in industrial control and automation applications. The transition from a D-subminiature to individual wires is simplified with this new, readily available interface module. An exclusive feature of the IMDS module is pluggable terminal blocks and either male (plug) or female (receptacle) connectors. These pluggable modules facilitate rapid system testing and shorter maintenance downtime and simplify construction when shipping subassemblies is required.
