The 4797R HSP placement platform accepts up to 96 feeders without sacrificing throughput or ease of scheduling. Placement speed is maintained at 48,000 cph. The 4797R HSP is capable of handling 24×18" boards. This is achieved with a small-footprint machine measuring 122" long and 84.8" deep. In addition to maximizing throughput and flexibility, the new machine emphasizes placement accuracy. Three-sigma accuracy is 0.08 mm for MELFs and small chips and 0.05 mm for leaded components.

ENERGY CHAIN

The Triflex R energy chain is designed for robotic applications requiring three-dimensional (3D) and multi-axis freedom of movement. Smooth contours and a tubular design ensure fluid mobility. The Triflex R is constructed with a unique trailer-hitch (ball-and-socket) style modular assembly, which provides high tensile strength and flexibility without the need for steel cables. It is ideal for robotic applications performing both linear and radial movements in a confined space, such as in the automotive industry or any production plant. It is also well suited for use in welding applications due to its flame-retardant properties.

The WC301 automatic wire-and-tubing cutter cuts wire from 10 to 30 AWG (2.59- to 0.025-mm outer diameter) and tubing from 0.025- to 7.93-mm outer diameter. The WC301 can quickly and accurately process up to 13,800 1" pieces per hour or 6,900 10" pieces per hour. With 99 programmable batches and nine variable feed rates, set-up is quick and easy. The unit will automatically de-reel, feed, and cut material to the programmed length and count the number of pieces.

Two tool kits, the TK-400EZ and TK-600EZ, are designed to simplify cable preparation and termination of the LMR-400 and LMR-600 cables. The tool kits each contain the CCT-01 cable cutting tool, EZ cable-prep tool, DBT-01 debur tool, and appropriate crimping tool, packaged in a rugged leather pouch. The tools are compatible with the crimp-type EZ and solder-on LMR connectors. Also available is the TK-01 tool kit for both LMR-400 and LMR-600 cables—low-loss, flexible, non-kinking RF transmission cables suitable for use as antenna feeders, system jumpers, and interconnects.

The table-top model S135 winding system for optical fiber, fine wire, and micro-tubing can be operated from either a standing or sitting position and places such functions as threading, loading, and unloading within arm's reach to maximize efficiency. The control panel offers digital entry of winding parameters such as package width and material length to optimize accuracy. The stepper motor provides pitch control with digital readout in 0.001" increments. The system is capable of 600 fpm speeds on a 3" core.

Pneumatic, handheld, and tabletop ferrule crimpers as well as hand-operated crimpers are used to mechanically crimp insulated and uninsulated ferrules onto wires and cables. Pneumatic crimpers produce a trapezoidal crimp cross section, ensuring an optimum mechanical and electrical connection between the ferrule and conductor. Front or side wire-entry crimpers, with one or more individual crimp cavities are available.

This wire crimp pull-testing system is designed to test the pull-off tensile force of crimped joints. The system consists of a motorized test stand, digital force gauge, and a set of gripping fixtures. Capacities of up to 200 lb are available. This motorized system has adjustable limit switches to allow the user to set exact travel distance limits and a manual control knob for fine adjustments. An adjustable-speed range of 0.5" to 13" per minute covers a wide variety of testing requirements. Specialized adjustable gripping fixtures secure the sample with no slip.

The Sienna 55 benchtop laser wire stripper was designed to end-strip one wire at a time. It employs a patented rotating optical system and a sealed carbon dioxide laser to strip a wide range of wire sizes and insulations. The Sienna 55 strips extruded wire insulation on single-conductor, solid, or stranded wire as well as the outer jacket of multiconductor round cable up to 1/4" diameter. Laser power is adjustable, as is the number of cycles the laser beam makes around the wire.
