THERMOCOUPLE CONNECTORS — Thermocouple connectors are a type of mold connector used to connect a thermocouple cable from the main frame to the mold. Mounted on or in the mold, the connectors use a single stainless steel clamping mechanism to secure and seal the connection. The standard insert uses a screw-type terminal. A spring-clamp insert is also available. The connector pins are numbered on the backside of each insert, and a corresponding label is attached to the side of the housing. The inserts are keyed to prevent incorrect coupling. High-temperature inserts and housings (180deg;C) are also available. MENCOM, GAINESVILLE, GA. www.mencomcorp.com

RIGHT-ANGLE PCB RECEPTACLES — The 3-, 4-, and 6-pin M8 picofast line of miniature industrial PCB-mount connectors is designed to accommodate a wide range of uses. The miniature PCB-mount receptacles are ideal for high-motion applications where larger style cordsets and receptacles add unwanted additional weight, increasing the possibility of damage to high-speed robotics in the form of excess mechanical wear and tear. EMT CONNECTORS — New compression-style zinc die-cast EMT connectors and couplings meet the new, more stringent UL requirements for "raintight" classification. To prevent water seepage into conduit, box, or enclosure, the connectors—models 250-RT2, 251-RT2, and 252-RT2, measuring ½", ¾", and 1", respectively—feature an internal sealing ring and external knockout gasket. Couplings, available in the ½" 260-RT model, ¾" 261-RT model, and 1" 262-RT model, use two sealing rings to keep out rain. BRIDGEPORT FITTINGS, STRATFORD, CT. www.bptfittings.com

CONNECTOR SYSTEM — The SOLARLOK interconnection system with a new, flexible, UL- and TÜV-approved system accommodates serial and parallel solar module connections. The connectors used allow for rapid assembly using hand tools but can also utilize high-speed, semi-automatic applicators. The silver-plated, copper-alloy contacts are rated at 25 A with up to 50 mating cycles and are sealed to an IP67 environmental rating when mated with another connector. Contact resistance is typically 1 mΩ or less and affords the designer a low-resistance separable interface. TYCO ELECTRONICS, HARRISBURG, PA. www.tycoelectronics.com

MIL-SPEC CONNECTORS — By combining rugged circular MIL-Spec connector technology and the standard RJ-45, USB, FireWire, and MT-RJ connectors, the family of RJField connectors was born, becoming an enabling technology for the "digital battlefield." The U.S. Army has accepted the MIL-C-26482 Series 1 and MIL-C-38999 Series 3 connectors as the next-generation replacement connector for military tactical deployable network applications. It allows users to transform any standard RJ-45 cordset into an environmental IP67 connector without any cabling operation or special tools. The connectors are available in a large range of mating configurations (bayonet, thread, push-pull) with metallic or plastic shells. AMPHENOL, WALLINGFORD, CT. www.rjfield.com

RJ CONNECTOR — The UltraJAX RJ connector provides high-density contact capabilities within a standard-sized RJ connector. Contact assemblies are housed in the top and bottom of the UltraJAX female connector. Existing single-sided RJ-11 and RJ-45 connectors insert into the connector in multiple directions supporting multiple functionality, while UltraJAX double-sided male connectors use both sets of contacts, doubling the capacity and functionality of a single connector. UltraJAX doubles the port count of standard networking and phone equipment as well as any others using RJ ports. REVOTECH, LOS ANGELES. www.revotech.net

HIGH-DENSITY CONNECTORS — This new line of high-density insulation displacement connectors (IDC) and mating headers minimize required PCB space. Female IDC receptacles have high-reliability beryllium-copper insulation displacement terminals plated with up to 30 µ" of gold over nickel. Housings are molded from black PBT and feature a molded-in center polarizing bar. These receptacles accept standard 0.025"-pitch, 30-AWG flat ribbon cable. Male headers are available in through-hole vertical, through-hole right-angle, and surface-mount styles. Male headers feature phosphor bronze contacts plated with up to 30 µ" of gold over nickel. CABLE CONNECTORS — The 6238/6292 Series 0.5-mm-pitch, low-profile, flexible-printed-circuit (FPC)/flat-flexible-cable (FFC) connectors provide an environmentally friendly method of making PCB connections in PCs and digital AV devices. These devices are available with either flip-lock (6238 Series) or slide-type (6292 Series) connections, both with right-angle zero insertion force. The 0.5-mm pitch with a low profile of 1.1 mm (applicable FPC thickness of 0.3 mm) reduces the mounting area as much as 42% compared to current products. Applications for the 6238/6292 Series include PCB-to-PCB and PCB-to-display connections in laptop PCs, AV digital, digital still cameras, and digital video cameras.
