HIGH-SPEED CONNECTORS — The micro GiGaCN high-speed, differential- connector line has added an I/O plug with thumbscrews designed for the server and storage industry, telecom applications, high-speed video and test equipment, logic analyzers, and medical instrumentation. The new FCN-260D is a copper I/O solution with differential signaling, available in 4× and 12× versions. The device is rated as AC 0.5 A for signal and AC 1 A for ground. The FCN-260D enables a scalable performance range of 500 Mbit/s to 6 Gbit/s per link. HEARING-AID CONNECTOR — A multipart bridge connector for Oticon's new SUMO behind-the-ear hearing aid combines a custom metal alloy, precision metal stamping, Kapton, and a two-end connector molded encapsulant to yield an ultrasmall connector.
