AUTOMATION PLATFORM — The latest addition to the Polaris Assembly Cell family, Polaris Jr. is focused on the lower end of robotic and nonrobotic assembly processes. Polaris Jr. offers single-process final assembly automation. These processes include dispensing, screw driving, and pick-and-place, packaged onto a standardized tool interface and using a pre-existing selection of more than 20 tool modules. The Polaris Jr. allows cell sizes from 500 mm up to 2.5 m while using common structure and controls. A standard machine gives economy of scale and faster lead time than complete custom cells.
