New layouts offer greater integration flexibility

Chandler, Arizona, January 29, 2010 – Radiall USA, Inc. introduces its new size 10 concentric twinax contact with three new insert configurations for the NSX series (ARINC 600 standard). The NSX series (ARINC 600 standard) are multipin rack and panel connectors used to connect high performance avionic equipment.  The size 10 contact complements the legacy size 8 and size 5 range and offers greater density while providing outstanding electrical performance. These new contacts are available in both standard crimp termination and solder tails for printed circuit card applications.

The new layout possibilities are coded as “13T13” with 13 contacts size 10, “18T18” with 18 contacts size 10 and “15T6Q2” with 2 contacts size 8, 7 contacts size 16 and 6 contacts size 10. Size 10 contacts can be either concentric twinax or triax type, size 8 can be either coax, concentric twinax, triax or quadrax, and size 16 contact is power.

These new inserts and contacts bring greater integration flexibility to designers while maintaining the form factor of the existing ARINC 600 connector series.
