UK technology news site The Engineer reports that Nexans has completed a contract with energy management firm Schneider Electric to supply the Nexans Energyflex PV cables from its Keylios range for use in the construction of a 43MW solar photovoltaic (PV) facility in the Puglia region of Italy.
The Cellino San Marco (CSM) project comprises 580,000 panels and is the largest solar PV project in Italy to reach financial closure. Nexans has supplied more than 1,000 km of its Energyflex cables to provide durable in-field connections between the PV panels and inverters that will transform the solar energy into usable AC electricity.
