December 2, 2009 -- FCI has expanded its MezzSelect line of mezzanine connectors with a fine pitch, parallel board-to-board connector family. Dubbed the BergStak mezzanine connector system, the double-row 0.8 mm connectors provide a range of twelve PCB stack heights in nine connector sizes available in up to 200 positions. The connectors are suitable for communications, computer, industrial, medical and test equipment applications.
The BergStak connectors are suitable for a wide range of products, with 0.8 mm double-row contact pitch to minimize board space and is offered in an extensive range of sizes and stack heights from 40 to 200 position sizes in 20 position increments; and 5 mm to 16 mm stack heights in 1mm increments. The low-profile connector system delivers performance of up 10 Gb/s with reliable signal integrity, according to the company.
