Power Connectors — Series 75 Power Connectors are rated for 600 V (AC and DC) and 75 A in a single-pole housing when connected to a 6 AWG wire. Two housing configurations are available: a standard (non-locking) version and a locking version. These modular housings can be interlocked vertically and horizontally to create stacked versions. A retaining pin is offered to lock the standard housings together. The products employ a genderless mating design that allows a mated pair to be assembled with two identical mating halves. Rated for up to 10,000 mating cycles, applications include communications equipment and power supplies. Tyco Electronics, Harrisburg, Pa.

Adapter Sleeve — This Hybrid Fiber Optic Adapter Sleeve is a one-piece sleeve with different end diameters to allow the mating of fiber optic connectors with different ferrule diameters. It reportedly can be incorporated within a range of adapter styles, including MU-SC and LC-SC types. Fabricated using metallic glass injection-molding technology, the product is made of a zirconium alloy. The material is said to be highly resistant to abrasion from hard zirconia ferrules, and eliminates the need for periodic cleaning of connectors. In mating tests, there was no reported measurable change in insertion loss after 500 connections. YKK Corp. of America, Optical Components Div., Marietta, Ga.

M12 Connector — The Micro-push M12 Connector allows twist-free coupling of control components. Applications include connecting proximity sensors to the controller, via junction or multiple outlet receptacle boxes. It provides IP64 protection for automation applications that exist in mild environments. Said to save time and space, the product's design incorporates flexible threads that grip the threaded surface of the sensor. Push-on installation is achieved by aligning an arrow on the connector body with the keyway on the mating sensor. It is available in straight or right-angle forms, in three- or four-pole configurations, with a choice of cable lengths. Woodhead Connectivity, Northbrook, Ill.
