BTC's hermetically sealed receptacles earn ASD-CERT recertification

Connector distributor BTC Electronic Components (BTC - Wake Forest, NC) announced that its offering of EN2997 Y and YE hermetically sealed receptacles has been recertified by ASD-CERT. As a unit of Ametek/HCC Interconnect Technologies, Sealtron manufactures these components and successfully completed the required steps mandated by ASD-CERT.

Founded in 1990, ASD-CERT is an association affiliated with ASD with the purpose to qualify standard aerospace products in accordance with the requirements of EN 9133 ''Quality Management Systems - Qualification Procedure for Aerospace Standard Part'' (formerly EN 3042). The association is a ''third party'' non-profit organization and has no commercial interest.

BTC is Ametek/HCC Interconnect Technologies' only franchised/authorized distributor in North America. Presently the company maintains over $2 million in product inventory while hosting an expansive hermetic connector inventory.

As franchised/authorized stocking distributor, BTC currently supplies the following Sealtron EN2997 Y and YE hermetic receptacles:  EN2997Y1, EN2997Y0, EN2997Y7, EN2997YE1, EN2997YE0 and EN2997YE7 in shell sizes from 8 to 28. All items that are classified to Class Y are suitable for operations from -65º Celsius to + 200º Celsius, while Class YE is suitable for cyclical operations from -65º Celsius to +260º Celsius.

“Sealtron continues to be a leader in glass-to-metal-sealed (GTMS) electrical connectors for high-reliability applications,” stated Chuck Grimm, COO at BTC. “Additionally, their steadfast commitment to quality is unmatched in the aircraft engine connector market.”
