AirBorn reels in Goldeneye for precious metal plating

Jun 18, 2010

AirBorn has acquired Goldeneye Solutions, a plating company located near its Little Falls, Minnesota, stamping and forming location. “Goldeneye Solutions has been a long-time supplier and business partner to AirBorn,” says Cindy Lewis, AirBorn president. “Connector designs involve stamped-and-formed products, which makes innovative stamping and gold-plating capabilities a key development to AirBorn’s future."

AirBorn is a connector manufacturer producing integrated technology products for high reliability applications primarily for the military and aerospace markets. The company supplies a range of connectors, power supplies, flexible circuits, and value added services. Industries served aerospace/avionics, defense, geophysical, energy, industrial, automotive and medical.

The manufacturer says that having its own plating capability will allow it to provide its customers with: quick-turn capability for accelerated delivery service and special orders; a secure alternate plating source; key technical talent for future process and product development; and more competitive pricing.

More Military - Aerospace Coverage

"We believe coupling their precious metal plating capabilities with Little Falls stamping, molding, and automation will keep us very responsive and competitive for the future,” concludes Lewis. “The addition of Goldeneye to the team provides a powerful package of product offerings and a total package of solutions to our customers.”
