Honda. BMW. Chrysler. Yamaha. Ford...and, Ford again. Safety-related vehicle recalls issued by major automakers due to faulty wiring harness interconnect were consistently among ICW's most popular (i.e. most read) stories in 2011. Faulty plug connectors and the odd airbag wiring glitch are probably par for the course as far as 'oopsie' occurrences go in the wiring harness arena -- situations for which we endeavored to provide a bit of guidance, when we could -- but in 2011, the industry also saw a WHOLE COMPANY RECALLED on the basis of an elaborate price fixing scheme -- and that is the kind of problem for which remedies are decidedly and depressingly less conclusive.
