Nortech's Intercon 1 intros high flex Gigabit Ethernet cable assemblies for machine vision

May 18, 2010

The Intercon 1 division of Nortech Systems Inc. has introduced its High-Flex Right Angle Gigabit Ethernet (GigE) Cable Assemblies for GigE and GigE Vision Cameras.

Unlike off-the-shelf options, the company said these assemblies are built to customer specifications for length and connector orientation - right/left, up/down and straight. This customization and the assemblies' low profile help minimize increasingly tight space requirements.

The cables' industrial-rugged assembly design includes overmolded strain relief and thumbscrew-locking connectors for greater data integrity and performance, even through motion and vibration. Intercon 1's high-flex cable has exceeded 12 million cycles in both tick-tock and rolling torsion testing. The double-shielded cable is engineered to minimize EMI interference and cross-talk; its durable TPE jacket resists environmental conditions like moisture, oil and abrasion.

The Intercon 1 division of Nortech Systems specializes in the supply and manufacture of industrial-rugged Machine Vision digital and analog video cable and cable assemblies.

Nortech Systems, Inc. is a full-service electronics manufacturing services (EMS) provider of wire and cable assemblies, printed circuit board assemblies, and higher-level complete box build assemblies for a range of industries.
