Aiming to increase the reliability and efficiency of PCB assembly departments, the German connector manufacturer ODU has enhanced its ODU MAC LC line of modular rectangular connectors with the introduction of a PCB termination module.

The module allows for more efficient connection of PCBs to rectangular connectors, says the company.
The PCB modules are first soldered to the PCB, then the ODU MAC LC can be plugged in. No extra frame is needed on the PCB side, which may reduce assembly costs. Insertion forces remain in the connector, alleviating unnecessary stress on the PCB structure.
