Array Connector earns ISO 9001:2008 certification

Apr 13, 2010

Array Connector Corporation recently achived ISO 9001:2008 certification and passed its annual surveillance audit for the AS9100 Certificate. The company reports it passed the audit with a near-perfect score.

Its ISO 9001:2008 designation affirms that the policies, practices, and procedures in place at Array Connector are designed to ensure consistent, quality products and a commitment to continuous improvement, the company said. Array originally acquired the ISO 9001:2000 certification in 2007.

AS9100 is the international management system standard for the Aircraft, Space, and Defense industry. Managed by the International Aerospace Quality Group, the AS9100 standard is the benchmark for providing safe and reliable products to the aerospace industry, Array stated.

"Earning the ISO 9001:2008 distinction is a testament to our ability to meet rigorous international quality requirements," said Fred Gilliam, corporate quality director for Array Connector. "It also validates that we have the proper systems in place to solve customer challenges, reduce waste, and achieve even better uniformity, on-time delivery, and product quality."

An independent review by Intertek Testing Services reviewed all aspects of the Array quality management system; the review was the basis for Array's achieving ISO 9001:2008 and passing the AS9100 audit.

In addition to ISO 9001:2008 and AS9100, Array also holds the U.S. Department of Defense MIL-DTL-26482 and MIL-DTL-5015 specifications as well as the Federal Aviation Administration's Parts Manufacturer Approval.
