Amphenol Industrial Operations has introduced a miniature explosion-proof threaded connector, specifically designed to allow a signal to pass through Zone rated areas, using coax and fiber optic cables, as well as standard copper. The new Amphe-EX connector is complimentary to Amphenol's Star-Line EX series. In addition, the rugged Amphe-EX connectors are ATEX and IECex approved for Zone 1 rated applications. 50 insert patterns are available to suit many industrial applications across a range of markets.

Amphenol Industrial Operations, the worldwide leader in explosion proof and hazardous environment interconnects, introduces a new miniature explosion-proof threaded connector specifically designed to allow a signal to pass through Zone rated areas, using coax, fiber optic cables, as well as standard copper. The new Amphe-EX(TM) is complimentary to Amphenol's industry-proven Star-Line EX(TM). In addition, the rugged Amphe-EX(TM) connectors are ATEX and IECex approved for Zone 1 rated applications.

o All Plugs and Inline Receptacles supplied complete with EX rated cable glands

o RJ45 and USB connections allow use of Ethernet Class D/Cat 5e or USB cables

o Machined aluminum components heat resistant to 750ºF

o Operating Temperature rated to -67º F to +225ºF
