Photonics technicians at the Camp Pendleton Marine Corps Base in Oceanside, Calif., need 88 tactical fiber optic cable assembly (TFOCA) I two-channel plugs with 3-foot pigtail cables. The Marine Corps must receive quotes no later than 3 p.m. pacific time on 29 Jan. 2010.

LGS contracted to support U.S. Army in Southwest Asia (Jan 26, 2010)

Alcatel-Lucent subsidiary company LGS was recently awarded a Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) with the U.S. Army to provide communications technology in support of specific operations across Southwest Asia. The BPA includes wireless technologies, voice and data solutions, inside/outside plant (ISP/OSP), premise wiring, and technical control facilities over a five-year period.

PA&E’s new non-magnetic Micro-D connectors combine a MIL-PRF-83513 complaint Micro-D interface with very low magnetic permeability characteristics. The connector’s shell is comprised of titanium and Inconel; this metal combination affords required capabilities of strength, expansion coefficients and low magnetic permeability.
