USMC immediately soliciting for 88 tactical fiber optic cable assembly plugs

Photonics technicians at the Camp Pendleton Marine Corps Base in Oceanside, Calif., need 88 tactical fiber optic cable assembly (TFOCA) I two-channel plugs with 3-foot pigtail cables. The Marine Corps must receive quotes no later than 3 p.m. pacific time on 29 Jan. 2010.

LGS contracted to support U.S. Army in Southwest Asia

Alcatel-Lucent subsidiary company LGS was recently awarded a Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) with the U.S. Army to provide communications technology in support of specific operations across Southwest Asia. The BPA includes wireless technologies, voice and data solutions, inside/outside plant (ISP/OSP), premise wiring, and technical control facilities over a five-year period.
